The Duro range takes its name from the Durotriges, one of the Celtic tribes who lived in Dorset long before the Roman invasion. This collection is rooted in place - inspired by ancient landscapes, quiet strength and the enduring beauty of the land beneath our feet. Each necklace is designed as a small act of reconnection: to history, to nature and to a slower, more intentional way of living.
Every Duro necklace is handcrafted using fused glass, a process that allows colour, texture, and light to shift subtly within each piece. The glass is fired in a kiln 3 times. Firstly to create a powder landscape pattern, which is then cut up and refired to create individual pendants. The glass is then cut to shape and placed back in the kiln for a fire polish. The processes creat organic patterns that echo the natural rhythms of Dorset - its hills, fields, skies and coastlines. No two pieces are ever the same, making each necklace a truly individual expression of place.
The collection is divided into distinct series, each reflecting a different moment in the landscape:
Duro necklaces are finished with either 925 sterling silver bails and chains or alloy bails paired with coloured cords, allowing the collection to remain accessible while offering precious-metal options for those who prefer them. This flexibility ensures there is a Duro piece for every style and budget, without compromising on craftsmanship or meaning.
Designed to be worn daily or gifted thoughtfully, the Duro collection carries ancient inspiration into modern life - a wearable reminder of the land, its stories and its enduring beauty.
